1. Overview

FoneKart stands behind every device we sell. All our Certified Refurbished and Brand New Old Stock Nokia mobile phones come with a warranty against manufacturing defects. This policy explains what is covered, for how long, and how to claim your warranty.


2. Warranty Duration

The warranty period begins from the date your order is delivered, not the date of purchase.


3. What Is Covered Under Warranty

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects and functional failures including:

  • Device not powering on or randomly shutting down
  • Keypad or buttons not functioning correctly
  • Display issues — dead pixels, lines on screen, backlight failure
  • Speaker, microphone, or earpiece not working
  • Charging port not working despite using a compatible charger
  • Camera not functioning
  • SIM card slot not reading SIM cards
  • Battery not holding charge at all (complete battery failure)
  • Software issues directly related to the device hardware

4. What Is NOT Covered Under Warranty

The following are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Physical damage caused after delivery — cracked screen, broken body, bent frame
  • Liquid or water damage of any kind
  • Damage caused by using incompatible chargers or accessories
  • Damage caused by unauthorised repair or tampering by a third party
  • Normal wear and tear — minor scratches, fading of paint, worn keypads
  • Cosmetic issues that were disclosed at the time of purchase on the product page
  • Lost or stolen devices
  • Damage caused by software modifications, flashing, or factory reset attempts
  • Issues arising from use outside of India

5. Battery Warranty Clarification

For refurbished devices, the battery holds charge as tested and verified before dispatch. Battery capacity naturally degrades with use over time — this is normal and not a manufacturing defect. We cover complete battery failure only — where the battery does not hold any charge at all within the warranty period.


6. How to Claim Your Warranty

Follow these steps to claim warranty:

Step 1 — Contact us within your warranty period via:

Step 2 — Provide the following information:

  • Your full name and order number
  • IMEI number of the device (dial *#06# to find it)
  • Clear description of the issue
  • Photos or video demonstrating the defect

Step 3 — Our team will review your claim within 2 business days and confirm eligibility

Step 4 — If approved, we will provide the return shipping address. Pack the device securely and ship it to us

Step 5 — Once received, our technicians will inspect the device within 3 business days

Step 6 — Based on inspection, we will either:

  • Repair the device and return it to you, or
  • Replace it with the same or equivalent model if repair is not possible, or
  • Issue a refund if neither repair nor replacement is available

7. Warranty Claim Turnaround Time

8. Shipping for Warranty Claims

  • If the warranty claim is approved, FoneKart will bear the return shipping cost for sending the device back to you after repair or replacement
  • The customer is responsible for shipping the device to FoneKart for inspection
  • We recommend using a trackable courier service — FoneKart is not responsible for devices lost in transit to us

9. Warranty Void Conditions

Your warranty will be immediately void if:

  • The device shows signs of physical damage, liquid damage, or tampering
  • The IMEI number has been altered, removed, or does not match order records
  • The device has been opened or repaired by anyone other than FoneKart authorised technicians
  • The warranty period has expired

10. Important Notes

  • Warranty is non-transferable — it applies only to the original buyer
  • Warranty covers the device only — accessories such as charger are not covered under warranty
  • FoneKart reserves the right to assess and determine whether an issue qualifies as a manufacturing defect
  • In cases where the device is found to have customer-caused damage upon inspection, the warranty claim will be rejected and the device returned to the customer
